Kevin and Steve and Mark, Master Carpenters

It gives us pleasure to note that customers recapping their experience with our firm always convey their immense satisfaction with the excellent work of our personable installation professionals!

The best crew at Renewal in those earlier days was known as S&K – Steve Bettis and Kevin Kozel. Mark Mutz had mastered the window trade working for the old Garage Doors and More in south Denver, and became the technical troubleshooter for Renewal. It was only natural that the best from the discipline would join forces under the Egret wing. With over 16,000 windows and doors installed in their combined careers, these gentlemen are truly worthy to be in your home.

Les Jones, President

From his family’s history and ethics, and out of a passion for research, Les believes that every Egret customer can be invested with a solution that will be the one they love the absolute best. Les says it’s all about “the best choices for Denver’s best-loved homes. It’s become kind of a theme around here.”

Upon the temporary closing of Renewal with attendant lay-offs, Les’s intent was to grow a window and door company that could be set apart, unique in how close it held its customers. “We’re still learning; every day our focus is trained on serving the customer.”

The career switch to that led to Egret Windows would begin with a job at Renewal by Andersen. Very successful there, he met Kevin and Steve and Mark, the three men he today calls “the backbone” of Egret Windows.

A Denver native, Les worked for his Dad’s mortar sand company while getting his education at D.U. Upon leaving the university, he worked as a CPA for Arthur Andersen & Co. The call of diesel engines proved too much to ignore, and he left the profession to drive a dump truck for Dad. “Best job I ever had”, he reports. Les spent 17 years in the masonry industry, managing businesses and promotional organizations, and selling products for commercial projects.
